Experienced with estate planning including wills and trusts, Sheena Moran can help you create an estate plan to meet all of your needs from plans for your children, pets, and elderly parents to disbursement criteria for property, finances, and guns. This includes designated pet and gun trusts. She can help you create a plan to protect your assets from creditors, to be prepared for Medicaid, and to avoid probate if desired.
Sheena Moran also has significant experience in family law including divorce, child custody disputes, parenting time disputes, enforcement of orders, child support, maintenance (alimony/spousal support) and other related issues. As such, she has the knowledge to successfully handle any family law appeals. Ms. Moran has dedicated her practice at this time to estate planning and appellate work and no longer accepts pre-decree family law cases.
Ms. Moran attended Eastern Kentucky University and received two Bachelor’s of Arts, one with a major in Criminal Justice and minor in Political Science and one in Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies. Ms. Moran graduated valedictorian and was named the University’s Most Outstanding Senior. During her undergraduate experience, Ms. Moran competed nationally in the American Mock Trial Association.
Ms. Moran graduated from the University of Denver Law School in 2009 with honors. She graduated in the top 10% of her class or Order of St. Ives. During law school, Ms. Moran interned with two district Court Judges and worked for a Private Investigator. Ms. Moran completed the Civil Litigation Clinic and interned with the Colorado Attorney General’s office. Further, Ms. Moran completed a one year paid internship with the Jefferson County District Attorney’s office. Ms. Moran’s experience in litigation included competing nationally in trial competitions at the University of Denver and Eastern Kentucky University. Ms. Moran was named the Most Outstanding Orator at the University of Denver in 2008, winning the Hoffman Cup. Ms. Moran was named an All-American Attorney in 2006 by the American Mock Trial Association.
Ms. Moran opened S. M. Moran Law Office in 2009 and has focused her practice in the areas of family law, elder law, and trust & estates. Ms. Moran teaches as adjunct faculty for the University of Denver and the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Ms. Moran enjoys spending time with her family in the great outdoors of Colorado when outside of the office.
